Registration first, always

Almost every country that allows drones requires registration before you fly, not after you land — few authorities offer same-day approval, so this is one of the few travel prep tasks that genuinely needs to happen weeks in advance, not the night before your flight.

Even where drones are broadly allowed, flying near airports, military sites, government buildings, or large crowds is restricted almost everywhere — that's true even in the most drone-friendly destinations, so don't assume "allowed" means "allowed anywhere."
